WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOUR SCHOOL AND THE STAFF WE INTERACTED WITH
Jaclyn
Dear Larissa,
We have been at Home Away From Home for a little over a year now. As one of the original families at the WBB location I want to say we are very sad to leave. I wanted to make sure to write to you as I feel often time parents spend so much time complaining that you rarely get to hear the positive feedback. As a health care provider I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the WBB school. My son was constantly sick at his last day care and once changed to this location he rarely had to miss school for illness. In addition my 5 month old spent a short 4 weeks at your school but also maintained excellent health.
Jessica: My first interaction came when my son was bit by another child. Her response to my concerns and fears was truly flawless. Within 12 hours she personally called me and had a complete review of the footage and incident. Given my son is admittingly accident prone I have interacted with Jessica frequently and have always been impressed with her knowledge of the school rules and ability to put out just about any fire. I will never forget the month my son chose to give up his nap; Several times that month Jessica would sit and talk to my son until he finally went to sleep (a difficult task). Her love for my son was so evident through her patience and his overall excitement to see her when she was in WBB.
moreDEAR HOME AWAY FROM HOME/SURFSIDE ACADEMY MANAGEMENT:
Nicole Chaplin Extermine
Great day to you. I met Ms. Giovanina Francois right before my son, Dominic Zion Extermine
transitioned into the 1 year toddler room. I am very happy to say she is a pleasure. I am impressed that she speaks three languages: English, Spanish and Creole which is superb because our son is half Haitian and she is able to communicate with my husband in both English and Creole.
When I enter the 1 year toddler room I see how her and the other teachers are doing fun and
educational activities with the children. Ms. Gionvanina has a very warm and sweet demeanor. I see it shine through when she is interacting with all the children and I notice it when she attends to Dominic Zion as well. We converse when I pick up Dominic Zion in the afternoons and she explains to me how he did throughout the day. What I really like is she always checks his diaper one last time before I pick him up to ensure he has a smooth clean comfortable ride home.
The teachers keep you informed of how your child’s day. I see that across the board in this school, which is excellent. Ms. Giovanina reminds me of any activities that are coming up. For example, she reminded me to dress up Dominic Zion if we wanted to for Halloween and it was also written on the daily report that the parents receive at the end of the day.

“To All the great ladies at Home Away From Home,
I just wanted to take a minute to recognize Miss Yessy in the Infant Room (Village Commons Location). Every evening I pick up my daughter Rylee, it warms my heart to see the genuine and caring interaction between Miss Yessy and my daughter. I just know Rylee looks forward to her one on one time with Miss Yessy at the end of the day as a working mom who gets caught in I95 traffic – Miss Yessy makes me feel more at ease too!”

“Dear Larissa,
We want to take a quick moment of your time to send a letter of praise regarding Mrs. Jennifer Kendrick. She is our son’s VPK teacher this year, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of her teaching, and her demeanor and care as a professional.
Zander scored perfectly on his second Kindergarten Readiness Assessment, and we credit the majority of his outstanding achievement to Mrs. Kendrick. We are truly amazed at his development this year. We know he will be ahead of the curve once he starts Kindergarten, thanks to her amazing foundation!
We have spent a lot of time in her classroom, and my wife has come in to help at parties and read to the children. We are so thankful for her willingness to allow us to participate in Zander’s school life – it is a blessing!
Zander’s younger brother, Quinn, will be attending VPK next year, and we are excited to see how we will learn and develop under Mrs. Kendrick’s guidance. We would follow Mrs. Kendrick to any school she would choose to teach!”

“Dear Marlene,
Thank you for helping to take such good care of Lydia during her time at your location! I visited 7 daycares in the area, and one of them main reasons why I picked Home Away From Home is beacause on the day I showed up unannounced, you gave me a thourough tour of the entire building and patiently answered all of my questions. When the day came for me to drop off Lydia and return to work, you were waiting for us at the front desk, walked us back to the infant room, and handed me a tissue when I started to cry. When I returned that afternoon to pick her up, I found her being rocked in your arms. I was struck that you, as the Director, would spend time in the infant room. All of these things reassured me that I had picked the best daycare for Lydia and that she was in good hands. And over the last 4 months, I have observed an amazing group of women at work- not only in the infant room, but also in the other classrooms I pass by everyday. This is obviously a positive reflection on the leadership of this daycare. Again, thank you so much, and keep up the good work!”

“Dear Laura,
Thank you for helping to take such good care of Lydia during her time at your location! You were the first person I communicated with and you made a really good impression! You responded to my initial emails right away, were friendly and helpful the first time I called, and were such a cheerful presence at the fornt desk the first time I visited. For a new mommy who was also new to the whole daycare routine, your warmth and profesionalism was one of the factors that led me to choose this daycare for Lydia. You have continued to be a cheerful presence every morning and afternoon since, which I’m sure brightens many other parents’ days as well! Again, thank you so much and keep up the good work! :)”

“HAFH-
It is with true sincerity that I say THANK YOU for taking such good care of Kale! I’m sad to have to move him to the Jupiter location because he is so happy here. He loves coming here every morning, and though it’s hard for me not to be with him every day, it lightens my heart to know I am leaving him with people who love & care for him. Ms. Ashley, Ms. April, Ms. Dee, Ms. Alianna, Ms. Leslie, Ms. May, Ms. Leda, Ms. Madelin, Ms. Elsa, & Ms. Dianet: I am so grateful to each of you for being a part of Kale’s life & helping him learn & grow. You have been there encouraging him & cheering him on as he learned to hold his own bottle, sit up, crawl, stand up, & take his first steps. I will always cherish those memories & the impact you had on achieving those milestones! Kale and I will miss you all! Thank you, thank you, thank you… for everything!
