WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL

As the owner of this special school, I welcome all of you to Home Away From Home Learning Centers. As a mother of two, and a person who has been in this field for more that 10 years, I know and appreciate the value of a good education. A good education begins when a child's school experience is a positive one. Children have to feel good about themselves and their surroundings in order to enjoy learning. The enjoyment of learning is a top priority at Home Away From Home. I feel that our base Creative Curriculum and hands on  Montessori approach to learning are the best and most effective forms of learning. I believe that one must teach each child according to their individual personalities; taking the whole child into consideration, I believe in parent involvement, it takes the home and school working together to raise a child. I believe that if your child likes school, has success at school, and is involved in learning activities, he/she will have a rewarding, positive, and successful school year. Our staff and I pledge to provide a safe and secure enviornment for all children attending our school. I want your child ro realize that learning is a natrural process and that the key to a happy and productive life is found within a succesful education.

I may not be avialable at times but, my staff is more than qualified and can help with any questions or concerns you may have. I can also be reached via e-mail at larissasilva@bellsouth.net. I find it to be the easiest way to respond to any parent concerns in a timely manner. I am easily accessible to all parents and you will find that I am very hands on and extremely involved in the growth and well being of my schools.

Please remember that arriving on time and daily attendance is very important and we hope to see your child in school every day. If a difficult situation arises, please know that we will always do our best to resolve the situation with your child's best interest at heart.
